There are hundreds of laser and IPL systems used in a very wide range of sectors, from industrial drilling and micro electronics soldering to hair removal and skin rejuvenation in beauty and aesthetics. Each of these many systems, even those produced by the same manufacturers have specialised mirror systems and LaserSOS is able to offer a unique range of mirrors to address these many system requirements.

Most Resonators consist of a High Reflector (rear mirror) and a partially transmissive Output Coupler (front mirror).

The rear mirrors are designed to reflect the maximum laser beam power back through the lasing medium to the output coupler(front mirror) which transmits a predetermine percentage of the laser beam to the target. The balance of the beam is reflected back again through the lasing medium to the rear mirror to maintain lasing action.

Mirror substrates are typically produced from BK-7 for low power lasers and fused silica for high power CW and pulsed lasers. Depending on the laser application, laser mirrors can be fabricated with a multitude of configurations:

Convex, Concave, Flat, Wedged or a mixture of both.

Anti-reflection (A/R) Coatings are selected according to both maximum power damage threshold required and wavelength criteria.

All solid state lasers require mirrors for maintaining lasing action.
