Lamp and Rod Flow Tubes and Flowplates

Some light sources produce excessive visible and ultraviolet light which can reduce the efficiency of the lasing process and solarize the surface of the laser rod over an extended period of time.
The selection of the filter glass material used will minimize the solarization process. The most common glass materials used are Pyrex, Quartz, Cerium doped quartz and Samarium doped Quartz.
